Paediatric Hearing
Children & Teens
In School & In Clinic
At Kids Hearing, paediatric hearing is all we do. Our hospital-grade assessments are delivered in a private, child-friendly setting — either in clinic or at school. Shaped by our years of training from the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, we not only assess hearing but explain results clearly, provide guidance, and connect families to the right supports where needed (e.g. to speech pathology, ENT, paediatrics, or auditory processing evaluation).
We're bridging the accessibility gap for audiology providing in-school hearing screens and in-clinic assessments.

Like Vision,
Hearing is Essential for Learning
Children and teens rely on it to understand language, communicate effectively, and thrive both academically and socially.
Unlike adults, children rarely say, “I can’t hear” — making hearing issues easy to miss.

Symptoms of Hearing Difficulties
in Children & Teens
-
Speech or language delays
-
Reading, spelling, or phonic difficulties
-
Academic struggles
-
Selective hearing or trouble focusing
-
Behavioural Challenges or Anxiety
-
Preferring the louder volume on devices
-
Or sometimes—no obvious signs at all. Hearing loss is invisible.

Hearing Should Be Checked Annually—Just Like Vision and Dental Health
If your child or teen shows any of these signs, book a hearing check for your child and support their learning, development, and confidence.
Support Learning. Start with Hearing.

Our School Collaborations -
Past, Present & Future
Our clinicians have proudly supported these schools through current and previous roles. Here are just some of the wonderful communities we've worked with to support teachers and students through our hearing screening program in school.

Our Impact
2024–2025
-
Over 563+ students from 5 primary schools were screened through our school hearing program.
-
10% of students had temporary hearing loss requiring medical intervention.
-
A further 10% of students needed immediate support for significant permanent hearing loss.
Without our school hearing screening, these children may have gone unnoticed. Identification helped improve their learning and academic outcomes and benefited both the teacher and student.
